The Liturgy is the order of worship we use each Sunday to help us approach the Living God.  One of the great advantages of liturgy is that it involves all of the congregation in the worship of God.  Instead of just one person saying a prayer, there are many opportunities for the whole congregation to pray.  Sometimes those prayers are free-flowing, sometimes they are a set wording.  Liturgy also helps connect our worship to history.  Some of the prayers we say are hundreds of years old.  Below is a list of some of the basic elements of our service:

  • Opening Prayers
  • Worship through Song
  • Scripture Reading
  • Sermon
  • Nicene Creed
  • Prayers of the People
  • Corporate Confession of Sin
  • Communion
  • Benediction
