Sermon Series

SUMMER IN THE PSALMS:  The Psalms are a collection of 150 prayers and praises from the life of ancient Israel.  They were prayed by Jesus and have been prayed by the Church for two thousand years.  Are they still relevant today?  Do they have the power to deepen our prayer life and enrich our worship?  Come and find out...

King of Kings believes that prayer is one of the most important things that we do. Prayer shapes our hearts, minds, and souls helping to conform us more to the image of Christ. Prayer also directly impacts our circumstances. The Lord is faithful in response to prayer, and many remarkable answers to prayer have occurred at King of Kings.

There are several ways to receive prayer at King of Kings:

  • A prayer bench is available on Sunday mornings during Communion and through the end of the service. Here you may receive immediate prayer for yourself or someone else. You may be anointed with oil if you desire. The bench is near the back of the seating area of the church.
  • Written requests can be placed in the wooden prayer box on the Welcome Table. A form is available next to the box for requests, and signing your name to the form is optional. These requests are prayed for by the intercessory prayer team, which meets every Monday afternoon at 3 p.m. at the church office.
  • Any of the pastors or church leaders involved in the service are available to pray with you one-on-one at the end of the service or direct you to someone who is available.
  • You can also meet personally with an intercessory team. Or, if you are hospitalized or homebound, we can arrange for someone to visit you to pray.
